I am a faculty member at a university and a mom of two kids in elementary school and preschool. I am constantly looking for ways to make learning fun for my kids. Here are some resources I have enountered and tried. Since I live in the San Francisco bay area, some of the resources may be specific to the location. The rest are useful to anyone anywhere.
